Pro tips for Visiting the Blue Mountains:
I have visited the Blue Mountains many times. And based on my personal experience, I will be giving you some pro tips. Believe me, these tips will be very useful for you when you are visiting this region.

The first and the most important tip I will give you is to start your trip early. The region of the Blue Mountains is very popular. A lot of tourists are coming here each day. The numbers increase especially on weekends and during holiday seasons. So if you start your trip early, then it will allow you to reach here without getting stuck in the traffic rush. It will allow you to enjoy the main attractions without the crowds. Moreover, early morning light creates the best scenes for photography. And you will find these scenes only if you start up early. So do it, and you will thank me later.
Purchase a Blue Mountain Explorer Pass:
As soon as you reach here, I recommend you purchase a Blue Mountain Explorer Pass for yourself. This pass is a lifesaver. The pass will give you access to the hop-on, hop-off bus service. This bus will take you to all the major attractions. Some of these include The Three Sisters, Scenic World and various hiking trails. This pass is a convenient and affordable way to travel around. Bring Layers:
When you are visiting here, then I suggest you bring layers with yourself. The weather is very variable in the mountains. The mornings and evenings are cooler here, even in the summer. The midday can get warm though. You should bring layers especially if you are planning to spend the whole day exploring the area. I urge you to bring layers compulsory if you are visiting in autumn and spring. It is because temperatures can change more rapidly in these seasons. And without layers, it can be very uncomfortable for you.
Bring Comfortable Walking/Hiking Shoes and Hats:
When you are in the Blue Mountains, then you will have to use your foot a lot. Whether you are hiking a long and hard trail or simply strolling around, you will be in need of comfortable walking shoes. So I recommend you bring comfortable walking or hiking shoes with yourself. It will be better if your shoes are water resistant. You should also not forget your hat and sunscreen. Must bring them with yourself if you are coming here in the warmer months. They will protect you from the sun, especially during long hikes. And you will feel more comfortable while wearing them.
Book Tours in Advance:
Another important thing I suggest you do is to book your tours in advance. This is more necessary if you are here in the peak seasons like summer and the school holidays. These days, the popular tours such as the Scenic World rides and guided hikes fill up very fast. So you should book your tours in advance to secure your spot and to avoid disappointment. Whether you are going for adventure sports, wildlife experiences or cultural tours, do an advance booking. And it will allow you to experience everything the Blue Mountains have to offer to the fullest.
Respect the Environment :
Blue Mountain is a World Heritage-listed area. It is a protected environmental region too. So it is very important for all of us to treat it with immense care. I recommend you to stick to the designated trails and avoid picking the wildflowers. You should not harm the flora and fauna in the region.
